ATHOL-ORANGE AREA

ROTARY CLUB BULLETIN

Meeting of Sept. 15, 2003: Diane Espinola and Norma Auld spoke about the Senior Aide program, a program of Franklin County Home Care Corp. The project offers work opportunities for older workers. Many have a great deal of experience and come to the program with lots to offer potential employers. Workers are offered training to ensure that their skills are competitive and they are placed with a host agency, a non-profit which currently employee eighteen participants within the Athol-Orange area alone. From this placement, workers seek competitive employment in local businesses. The week of Sept. 21st is "National Employ Older Americans Week". For more information, call Diane at (978) 544-2259.
